Terms · the deal in writing

The deal, both ways.

Terms exist so both sides know the deal. Ours fit on one page and favour neither lawyer: you get the fare we quoted and a safe, punctual journey; we get accurate details, reasonable conduct and fair notice when plans change.

Bookings & quotes

A booking is confirmed when we accept it and you receive confirmation. Quotes are based on the details you give — addresses, times, passengers, luggage — and quoted fares are fixed for the journey as quoted. If the journey changes (extra stops, different destination, significantly more luggage or passengers), the fare is adjusted with you, openly, before or as it changes.

Fares & payment

The two published uplifts — night journeys between 11pm and 6am (20%) and the New Year peak (50%) — are included in your quote where they apply. Genuine route charges (airport drop-off, tolls, Congestion Charge) are itemised in the quote when relevant, never added silently. Payment is by card or cash on completion unless you hold an account, in which case monthly invoicing terms apply.

Waiting & no-shows

A fair grace period is included at pickup; further waiting is charged at the clear per-minute rate disclosed at booking. On airport arrivals, the included waiting runs from when reasonable allowance for landing and the hall suggests you will reach the car. If we cannot reach you after genuine attempts within a reasonable period, the job may be treated as a no-show with the fare or a fair part of it payable.

Cancellations

Cancel with reasonable notice and there is nothing to pay. Cancellations after a driver is en route or on site may carry a fair charge reflecting the work done. Pre-booked specialist work (events, multi-vehicle, long distance) may have specific notice terms agreed when booked — always in writing, never sprung.

Conduct & safety

Drivers will be professional, journeys lawful and vehicles safe and clean. In return we ask the same courtesy: seatbelts worn, no smoking or vaping, food and drink within reason, and treatment of drivers that you would accept yourself. We may decline or end carriage where safety or lawfulness requires; soiling beyond normal use carries a reasonable cleaning charge.

Liability & the sensible bits

We carry the insurance the law requires and accept the liability the law imposes — nothing here limits rights the law does not allow us to limit. We are not liable for losses caused by events genuinely beyond our control, or by inaccurate booking details, though we will always try to fix problems first and argue clauses later.

Luggage and property travel at reasonable care; see the lost property page for how diligently we chase what gets left behind.

The boring-but-true bits

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If any clause proves unenforceable the rest stand. We update these terms occasionally; the date above is kept current and material changes are flagged on this page.
